"Push On," featuring the powerful voice of Lili Hayes, is the first single off the upcoming Opposite Box album, A Multitude of Color!
Written in 2019, and performed extensively until March 2020 when OB last appeared on stage due to mass quarantine related to the spread of Covid-19/Coronavirus across the United States, the lyrics to "Push On" went from giving us the inspiration to keep moving in a massive music industry, to forcing us to keep our heads high while the entire industry screeched to a sudden halt during some of the most uncertain and difficult times of our career.
We hope that whatever it is you're going through right now, the lyrics find you in the right way and help you to Push On.
lyrics
"I know that things aren't looking up right now. You find yourself inside a hole. You're spending money that you don't have on things that you don't need, and it's starting to seem like I'm stuck in a dream, and you know how it goes.
When you're up and you're down, and the sun's not around, and you feel it from dusk till dawn. And the time that you thought that you had all along was here, and it's already gone. .
And you're dancing around the next move that you make, and it's time to start over again. You're tired of the shit, and it's as good as it gets, just seems like a means to an end.
You gotta push on."
